Points leader Alvaro Bautista (Ducati) dominated WSB Race 1 at Jerez last Saturday, and also won the 10 lap Superpole race before crashing out of Race 2 on Sunday.
The podium on Saturday saw Michael van der Mark (Yamaha) and Marco Melandri (Yamaha) finish second and third behind Bautista. Those two also filled out the podium for the Superpole race.
At the final corner of Race 1, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) was involved in an incident that resulted in the crash of Alex Lowes (Yamaha). Although Rea crossed the line in third, stewards eventually ruled the incident was Rea’s fault, and he was demoted to fourth place in Race 1. He was also required to start the Superpole race at the back of the grid.
After Bautista’s crash, Race 2 saw van der Mark win a battle against Jonathan Rea to take the win, with Rea second and Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki) finishing third.
Bautista continues to enjoy a large points lead in the championship. You will find full results for Race 1 here, the Superpole race here and Race 2 here. For additional details and points, visit the official WSB site.
