January is motorcycle sales month as manufacturers/importers offer discounts to get rid of stock they didn’t sell at Christmas time.

Other times during the year to buy a bike are in June when companies try to clear stock before the end of the financial year and Christmas when competition among manufacturers heats up.

Another good time to buy a particular model is just before the new model arrives as manufacturers try to get rid of old stock.

Already Aprilia, Honda and Victory Motorcycles have made significant discount offers for customers.

Next up is Honda with $1000 off the price of a 2015 CBR1000RR and unspecified “runout deals” on the 500cc learner-approved CBR500R, CBR500R and CBR500X. The offers end on March 28.
