Monster Energy SX 020516

450SX Class

  • Perfect Night: In Oakland, Ryan Dungey was the fastest qualifier, won his heat, grabbed the holeshot and capped things off with a wire-to-wire win. One of the rarest feats in the sport.
  • Rock Solid: Dungey’s incredible podium streak now sits at 20 races, dating back to last season. He’s finished first or second for 15 straight races.
  • His Best Yet: This is Dungey’s best ever start to a season. The earliest he’s ever scored three wins is in eight races.
  • Early Domination: Dungey has led 56 of 60 possible laps during his three-race win streak.
  • Earning His Results: Jason Anderson is the only rider other than Dungey to finish in the top five at each race this season. He’s had to pass an average of six riders in order to do so.
  • On the Rise: After the slowest start of his career, Ken Roczen has posted back-to-back podium finishes to move from sixth to fourth in the championship standings, just two points out of second.
  • Frenchman’s First: Marvin Musquin earned his first career 450SX Class podium finish in Oakland. He’s the first Frenchman to finish on the box since David Vuillemin’s last podium at the Pontiac Silverdome in 2004.
  • Holeshot Parity: Through four races there have been four different SupercrossLive.com Holeshot Award winners.

    250SX Class

    • Mr. 100: Joey Savatgy’s first career win came in his 20th career start, making him the 100th different winner in 250SX Class history.
    • Versace Savatgy: Savatgy had five career podiums before his win, with his career best coming just two weeks ago in San Diego. He’s also leading the championship for the first time in his career and has the most Heat Race wins in the class with three.
    • Back on Top: Savatgy’s win was the first for the legendary Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team since Las Vegas in 2014. The team went winless last season.
    • Dominance on Hold: Cooper Webb’s seven-race winning streak and undefeated start to 2016 came to an end in Oakland. He led nine laps but posted the worst finish of his career when his bike lost power. Webb has only two finishes outside the top 10 in 21 career starts.
    • Underdog Triumph: Colt Nichols earned a career-best runner-up finish in Oakland, signifying the best-ever finish for the CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha team.
    • More Holeshot Parity: Like the 450SX Class, the 250SX Class has had four different riders claim the SupercrossLive.com Holeshot Award through the first four races.
