Vespa has officially unveiled the Vespa 946 Horse, a new limited-edition model that marks the Year of the Horse and continues the brand’s Lunar Collection. Following the Dragon and the Snake editions, this latest release draws inspiration from the horse as a symbol of strength, elegance, vitality, and resilience, translating these qualities into a refined interpretation of the iconic Vespa 946.

Designed to express freedom of movement while preserving timeless sophistication, the Vespa 946 Horse showcases Vespa’s commitment to craftsmanship and design excellence. The model is finished in a distinctive bay colour, a deep brown tone inspired by the glossy coat of the horse. Its steel body is enhanced through a refined interplay of matte and gloss finishes, complemented by carefully applied golden accents that elevate its visual identity.
Among the most striking details is the V monogram, stamped in gold at the centre of a horseshoe positioned beneath the saddle, a subtle yet symbolic reference to equestrian heritage. The Vespa 946 Horse embodies Italian craftsmanship through a leather saddle inspired by traditional riding tack, handcrafted by skilled Italian artisans. Premium leather trims also adorn the handlebars and rear-view mirrors, reinforcing the sense of luxury and attention to detail that defines the model.
A dedicated range of accessories has been developed to complement the limited edition, each reflecting the same equestrian-inspired aesthetic. Made in Italy using the same leather as the saddle, the rear bag combines elegance with everyday practicality. The windshield is supported by aluminium mounts that enhance both functionality and visual balance. Completing the ensemble, the matching jet helmet features a three-dimensional gold V on the rear, underlining the strong and recognisable identity of the Vespa 946 Horse.
Alongside the launch of the Vespa 946 Horse, Vespa also introduces IN SELLA, the third drop of the AL VENTO collection. Designed for those who view style as a genuine expression of individuality, this new capsule collection represents a further evolution of the project. IN SELLA debuts a newly designed Royal crest, a graphic emblem featuring a horse and a dachshund mirrored symmetrically. The design draws inspiration from Vespa’s historical archives and is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
The Royal crest appears prominently on a wool varsity jacket, enriched with refined gold embroidery and detailing that reflect both the regal inspiration of the collection and Vespa’s enduring heritage. With the Vespa 946 Horse and the IN SELLA capsule, Vespa continues to merge tradition, design, and modern expression into a cohesive and highly distinctive vision.
