Picasso Engineering Debuts Carbon-Framed OMT 450C Flat Track Bike Ahead of Racing and Road-Going Versions

A radical new flat track contender has entered the spotlight as Picasso Engineering officially unveiled its OMT 450C race machine at the prestigious 2025 Heveningham Concours in England. The standout feature? A fully carbon fibre frame—one of the boldest design moves seen in modern flat track racing.

The OMT 450C made its first public appearance ahead of its official racing debut later this year in the FIM Flat Track World Championship, where it will compete in rounds in the Czech Republic and Hungary, with a full-season campaign slated for 2026.

Built around a highly tuned Honda CRF 450 engine, the OMT 450C represents a clean-sheet design developed at Picasso Engineering’s headquarters in Switzerland. Every element—from chassis flex to traction response—has been meticulously engineered for optimum performance on the dirt.

“This is a huge honour for all of us. We built this bike with a singular vision: to challenge convention and demonstrate what can be done when you start from zero with no compromises. Flat track racing leaves no room to hide. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s the perfect proving ground for what we believe in.”
Stefano Picasso, CEO and Founder, Picasso Engineering

The carbon chassis, a dramatic departure from traditional aluminum, aims to redefine the limits of traction, feedback, and frame performance. It’s this innovative approach that earned Picasso Engineering the Special Award at the event, further cementing the bike’s impact within design and motorsport circles.

But the story doesn’t stop at the racetrack. Picasso confirmed that a road-going version of the OMT 450C is in development, with a planned market release in 2026. The production model will build on insights from racing, offering a unique blend of lightweight construction, rider-focused dynamics, and street-legal practicality.

The OMT 450C is more than just a race bike—it’s a bold statement of intent from a company challenging traditional motorcycle design philosophies and paving the way for a new era in both racing and road riding.
