Ducati has officially introduced the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera, a new addition to its single-cylinder street motard lineup. The motorcycle arrives with an aggressive blacked-out appearance, upgraded equipment, and performance-focused features designed to enhance both style and riding dynamics.
The new model will reach European Ducati dealerships starting in June 2026 and completes the Hypermotard 698 Mono range with a more premium and sport-oriented specification.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera features a distinctive black and red livery that emphasizes its aggressive character. Black bodywork dominates the design, while Ducati Red accents on the frame and wheels create a strong visual contrast. The motorcycle also includes homologated Termignoni silencers with black finishes and red detailing, adding a sharper racing-inspired look to the rear section.
Performance remains at the center of the package. The motorcycle is powered by Ducati’s 77.5-horsepower Superquadro Mono engine, capable of reaching 10,250 rpm. Derived from the engine architecture used in the 1299 Panigale, the single-cylinder power unit incorporates advanced technologies including Desmodromic valve timing, titanium intake valves, and MotoGP-inspired engineering solutions.
The lightweight chassis contributes to the bike’s agile handling and responsive behavior. Weighing 151 kilograms ready to ride without fuel, the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera uses a trellis frame with variable thickness construction to balance rigidity and low weight. Additional lightweight components include cast wheels and brake discs with aluminium flanges.
The electronics package is among the most advanced in the segment. Standard equipment includes Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch, and Cornering ABS. The system also introduces Slide-by-brake functionality, designed to assist controlled sideways riding during track use.
For riders seeking additional track-focused performance, Ducati offers a racing Termignoni exhaust system that increases output by seven horsepower. This setup also activates a dedicated Wheelie Assist function, helping riders maintain controlled wheelies through electronic torque management.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera can also be customized with a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories. Available options include billet aluminium components, racing seats, upgraded footpegs, and styling accessories aimed at enhancing both appearance and functionality.
With its combination of lightweight construction, advanced electronics, and aggressive styling, the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera strengthens Ducati’s presence in the high-performance supermotard segment.
The model is scheduled to arrive at European dealerships in June 2026 with a starting price of €13,990.
