July 2025 – Kawasaki has officially revealed its highly anticipated 2026 KX lineup for Europe, introducing four upgraded machines: the KX250, KX250-X, KX450, and KX450-X. Designed to dominate both motocross and off-road competition, the new KX models are packed with championship-derived features and factory-level enhancements.

Taking center stage in the MX2 category this season, rising French talent Mathis Valin has impressed on the KRT KX250-SR, a race-modified version based on the production KX250. The engineering lessons learned at the track flow directly into the 2026 KX250, which arrives with enhanced power modes, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), and a symmetrically aligned intake and exhaust for refined torque delivery and better over-run performance.

“That race development, innovative engineering and cutting-edge technology flows into 2026 providing an ideal platform for professional and amateur racer alike.”

The 2026 KX250-X returns for the new season, optimized for cross-country competition with recalibrated suspension spring rates, dedicated damping settings, and a standard 21” front / 18” rear wheel combo wrapped in enduro-specific tires. Practical additions like a side stand make it trail-ready right out of the gate.

Inspired by MXGP success, the KX450 boasts Brembo brakes, Showa suspension, and smartphone tuning.

Sitting atop the lineup is the formidable 2026 KX450, the same platform that has powered Romain Febvre to multiple victories in the 2025 MXGP season. With improved chassis rigidity balance, the new model offers increased front-end feedback and sharper cornering across a variety of terrain.

“With a chassis optimised in terms of rigidity balance this has contributed to increased front-end feel evidenced in outstanding MXGP performances.”

Factory-level upgrades include premium Brembo braking systems, Showa suspension, and ODI Lock-on grips. Riders can now fine-tune their machine on the fly using smartphone connectivity for direct engine mapping adjustments.

Mirroring the KX250-X, the 2026 KX450-X brings similar enhancements to the cross-country segment, including Showa suspension, a quick-release air filter side cover, and the same 21”/18” wheel setup. Like its smaller sibling, it includes a side stand as standard equipment, ensuring practicality meets performance.

The new models will be available in Kawasaki’s signature Lime Green color, reflecting the brand’s racing heritage and commitment to innovation.

Whether you’re gunning for the holeshot on a motocross track or carving up technical off-road terrain, the 2026 KX lineup offers unmatched versatility and performance.
