The Ducati Lenovo Team continued its dominant run in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship with another remarkable performance at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, held at the legendary TT Circuit Assen. Marc Márquez claimed his third consecutive Sunday race win, marking a personal milestone not achieved in six years, while equalling the historic record of 68 premier class victories set by Giacomo Agostini.

Francesco Bagnaia, showcasing strong pace, secured third place, ensuring both Ducati Lenovo Team riders finished on the podium.
Márquez, starting from the second row, executed a flawless strategy. By lap six, he surged into the lead, confidently defending his position against Marco Bezzecchi before pulling clear in the closing laps. His calculated approach and race management secured a significant victory, reinforcing his position as the standout competitor this season.
Bagnaia, affectionately known as “Pecco,” led the race during its early stages for five laps, demonstrating the speed and consistency expected from a world-class contender. However, after briefly dropping back, he closed the gap to the front-runners but couldn’t mount a challenge for victory.
Following ten rounds of the championship, Márquez now holds a commanding lead with 370 points, maintaining a 68-point advantage over Alex Márquez. Bagnaia remains third in the standings, trailing his teammate by 126 points.
The Ducati Lenovo Team extends its dominance at the top of the teams’ standings with 488 points, while Ducati continues to lead the manufacturers’ classification with 356 points—a testament to the strength and performance of their machines.
The action resumes on July 11th as the MotoGP paddock heads to the Sachsenring for the eleventh round of the season.
Marc Márquez (#93 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 1st Place
“I was expecting the win, even though – like yesterday – I wasn’t the fastest rider on track. I managed the gap in the early stages, then controlled the race, and I’m very happy because we scored another 37 points. Obviously, I’m not fully satisfied, as my main rival – my brother – crashed and got injured. But that’s racing. I want to thank Ducati and the team, who worked until late on Friday after I destroyed the bike twice.”
Francesco Bagnaia (#63 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 3rd Place
“Here, for the first time, I felt I had a real chance to fight for the win. Today, when I finally managed to get fully dialled in, it was already a bit too late. I was lapping really fast, but I can’t seem to get close enough to the rider ahead. When I try, I end up taking too many risks, which usually lead to me running wide. It’s a tricky situation that has been with us since the start of the season, and it seems hard to solve – but we must keep working and take a step forward.”
Luigi Dall’Igna (Ducati Corse General Manager)
“It was a wonderful weekend for the Ducati Lenovo Team. Marc made the difference here once again, while Pecco showed the speed he’s capable of – setting the fastest lap of the race. It was a really strong performance from him and a great demonstration of the champion he is.”
