MV Agusta celebrates its 80th anniversary by honoring the most iconic figure in motorcycle racing history – Giacomo Agostini. The Superveloce 1000 Ago is more than just a commemorative bike; it’s a symbol of performance, heritage, and Italian craftsmanship.

Agostini’s legacy in racing is unparalleled. With 15 world titles, 123 Grand Prix wins, and a charisma that turned him into a global icon, he remains the most decorated rider in history. This limited edition superbike bridges the past and present, capturing the essence of Agostini’s glory and MV Agusta’s excellence.

Only 83 units of the Superveloce 1000 Ago will be produced, marking Agostini’s 83rd birthday. Each bike is individually numbered and signed by Ago himself, with a real gold plaque on the steering head and a matching certificate of authenticity.

Each Superveloce 1000 Ago is numbered and signed – this one shows 00/83, engraved on a real gold plaque.

One unique feature is the ignition key, which includes a coin made from an actual trophy won by Agostini. He personally selected and donated the trophy, turning each bike into a literal piece of racing history.

Design-wise, the Superveloce 1000 Ago stuns with full carbon fibre bodywork finished in Fire Red Matt and Magnum Silver Matt – a tribute to Ago’s racing colors. The number 1 on a yellow background and yellow-accented headlamp crown pay homage to his iconic livery. The spoked silver wheels blend classic aesthetics with modern lines.

Inside, the black Alcantara seat embroidered with Agostini’s name and signature stripe detailing echo his legendary racing suit. A golden plaque on the tank reads “15 Titoli Mondiali” – a reminder of his unmatched championship record.

To add exclusivity, each buyer is offered a made-to-measure Dainese Demone GP 3X suit and an AGV Pista GP RR helmet. The suit incorporates the D-air® Racing airbag system and personalized embroidery, while the helmet mirrors Ago’s tricolore style with modern carbon fiber details. These items are not sold separately.

The Superveloce 1000 Ago is powered by a 208 HP inline-four engine with titanium valves, forged titanium rods, and DLC-coated cams. The MVICS 2.1 system manages the engine with 8 injectors and a 50mm throttle body. Rider aids include adjustable traction control, FLC wheelie optimization, and four Riding Modes.

An integrated GPS system connects to the MV Ride app for navigation, telemetry, and customizable maps. Riders can track lean angles, throttle input, and even share maps with others.

The chassis features a high-strength steel trellis frame and aluminum plates, housing a single-sided swingarm. Öhlins electronic suspension with 43mm front forks and a rear monoshock ensures precise handling. Braking is managed by a Brembo system with 320mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc.

This masterpiece combines MV Agusta’s design language with cutting-edge technology and racing spirit. The Superveloce 1000 Ago isn’t just a motorcycle – it’s a rolling tribute to an icon and the brand that shaped racing history.
