Ducati Lenovo Team Gears Up for Mugello with Renaissance-Themed Livery and High Hopes

Ducati Lenovo Team heads into Round 9 of the 2025 MotoGP season at the iconic Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, aiming to continue its dominant run. With past victories at the Italian Grand Prix, Ducati is set to thrill fans once again on home soil.

Mugello: A Track of Triumphs for Ducati

The Brembo Grand Prix of Italy marks a pivotal point in the 2025 season. Ducati has claimed victory at Mugello for the past three years, with Francesco Bagnaia leading the charge. Ducati bikes have dominated the circuit six times since 2017, making Mugello a symbol of red passion and Italian motorsport excellence.

Márquez and Bagnaia Poised for Battle

Marc Márquez, fresh from a strong Aragon GP and post-race test, is ready for his Mugello debut in Ducati red. With one prior Mugello win in the Premier Class (2014), he enters Round 9 as the current championship leader with 233 points.

Teammate Francesco Bagnaia, riding the momentum of three consecutive Mugello wins and a recent podium in Aragon, sits third in the standings with 140 points. The Italian crowd is expected to rally behind him as he aims to narrow the championship gap.

A Livery Inspired by the Italian Renaissance

In a tribute to Italian culture and creativity, the Ducati Desmosedici GP bikes will feature a special Renaissance-themed livery for Sunday’s race and warm-up session. The fairings reflect dual aspects of Renaissance thought: Leonardo da Vinci, representing enlightened genius, and Niccolò Machiavelli, symbolizing strategic intellect.

This artistic homage merges Italy’s rich history with modern motorsport technology, showcasing Ducati’s signature blend of tradition and innovation.

On-Track Action Begins June 20

The first free practice session is scheduled for Friday, June 20 at 10:45 a.m. local time. Fans can join the action from the Ducati Grandstand at Correntaio for an adrenaline-fueled weekend of racing, passion, and Italian pride.
