The Ducati Lenovo Team delivered a strong performance during the opening day of the 2025 Aragón Grand Prix at MotorLand Aragón. Marc Márquez topped both Free Practice sessions, while teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished in ninth place, securing a direct entry into Q2.
Márquez Tops the Timesheets with Confident Pace
Márquez showcased his dominance early, breaking the 1’47” barrier in FP1 and improving further in FP2. Only his brother Álex Márquez managed to come close in the closing minutes of the session. The #93 rider demonstrated strong consistency and race rhythm, positioning himself as a frontrunner for Saturday’s Sprint and qualifying.
Marc Márquez (#93 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 1st Place:
“Our goal was to start the GP weekend strong, and we succeeded. This is a circuit where I typically feel confident, and that hasn’t changed. We had a solid pace and were competitive in the time attack. The field is closely matched, so tomorrow will be tight. Qualifying in the top two is important due to the dirt on the inside of the main straight, which can complicate the race start.”
Bagnaia Builds Momentum with Top-Ten Finish
Francesco Bagnaia steadily improved throughout Practice, making critical gains in the second session to secure ninth place. Despite some instability in the front during his time attack on fresh soft tires, Bagnaia’s race pace remains strong.

Francesco Bagnaia (#63 Ducati Lenovo Team) – 9th Place:
“Getting into the top ten was key and we did it. I felt good with the race pace and believe we can fight for the podium. In the time attack, I struggled with front-end grip after switching to the soft rear, which caused a lot of tucking. We’ll focus on improving front stability ahead of Q2, especially through the second sector, where we’re currently losing time.”
