In a vibrant tribute to their Italian roots, the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team (BbKRT) has unveiled a special red, white, and green ‘tricolore’ livery on their KB998 Rimini WorldSBK machines. This limited-edition design will make its debut at the upcoming Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ round of the 2024 WorldSBK Championship—an event that holds deep significance for the Rimini-based manufacturer.

Marking the sixth round of the championship, the Misano event, scheduled for June 13–15, is effectively a home race for BbKRT. With Bimota’s production facility located just minutes from the track, the Italian brand is seizing the opportunity to highlight its national pride on an international stage.

The new livery showcases an eye-catching green fairing element alongside the existing red and white panels, echoing the colors of the Italian flag. Complementing the bikes, the riders’ racing suits also incorporate green detailing to complete the patriotic look. This visual update enhances the presence of the already distinctive KB998 Rimini, emphasizing Bimota’s commitment to innovation and heritage.

With standout performances already securing top-five finishes in the season, BbKRT riders Axel Bassani and Alex Lowes will sport this commemorative color scheme during the highly anticipated Misano round.

Pierluigi Marconi, COO of Bimota, commented: “The evolution of our WorldSBK racing project aligns with the ongoing development of Bimota’s retail motorcycle lineup, including the newly introduced KB998 Rimini and Tera models. Displaying our Italian identity at Misano with this special livery is a proud moment for both the team and our global fanbase.”
