Kawasaki Issues Safety Recall for 2025 Ridge and Ridge Crew UTVs Over Seatbelt Bolt Concern

Kawasaki Motors Corporation USA has issued a recall affecting select 2025 Ridge and Ridge Crew utility vehicles due to improperly torqued seatbelt mounting bolts. This safety defect could compromise the effectiveness of the seatbelts, posing a significant risk in the event of an accident.

Seatbelt Bolts May Loosen Over Time

According to Kawasaki, specific units of the 2025 Ridge and Ridge Crew models may have seatbelt mounting bolts that were not tightened to the required torque specifications during assembly. This issue may cause the bolts to loosen during use, potentially rendering the seatbelts ineffective.

As a result, Kawasaki strongly urges owners to stop operating their vehicles immediately and contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair. The corrective action includes inspecting and re-torquing the seatbelt bolts to meet factory specifications.

Approximately 817 units are affected across several Ridge and Ridge Crew trim levels, including Ranch Edition, HVAC, XR, Deluxe HVAC, and Limited HVAC. Below is a summary of the affected models and corresponding VIN ranges:
