Renowned Japanese helmet manufacturer Arai has officially announced an upcoming price increase on its motorcycle helmet range within the Japanese market. The price adjustment, set to take effect from September 1, 2025, comes in response to mounting production challenges, including rising costs for raw materials, labour, and energy.
The new pricing structure will apply to all of Arai’s two-wheeled helmet products, with the exception of the TX Strada (both solid and graphic versions) and the RX-7X FIM Racing #2. The price revision will also cover interior components and helmet liners, as the company faces increased expenses across its supply chain.
In an official statement, Arai emphasized its ongoing commitment to product quality and rider safety, acknowledging that maintaining current pricing levels had become unsustainable:
“It is truly regrettable, but to continue delivering the quality and protection riders expect from Arai, we must revise our prices. We remain committed to protecting as many riders’ heads as possible.”
The brand also clarified that while these adjustments will impact the Japanese market, there are no immediate pricing changes confirmed for UK customers. However, Arai’s UK division has indicated that updates could follow later this year as the 2026 model lineup is finalized.
Arai joins a growing number of global manufacturers navigating economic pressures linked to material costs, labour shortages, and energy price surges. Despite the price increases, industry experts suggest Arai’s reputation for superior safety and premium quality is likely to sustain strong demand for its helmets worldwide.
