Triumph Motorcycles has officially revealed the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, a new limited-production model that blends classic British cafe racer heritage with contemporary performance and premium detailing. Production is limited to just 800 motorcycles worldwide, with each example supplied with an individual Certificate of Authenticity.

Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, the Cafe Racer Edition introduces a more focused and sporting character. Key changes include low clip-on handlebars, the removal of standard pillion pegs, and a distinctive brown bullet-style solo seat with a removable cowl. A carefully selected range of styling enhancements further sets the model apart from the standard Speed Twin lineup.

The riding position is defined by the low bars and streamlined single-seat profile, giving the motorcycle a tucked, purposeful stance reminiscent of the original British cafe racers of the 1960s. Visual details include machined bar-end mirrors, ribbed clutch and alternator cover badges, black head bolt covers, sculpted knee pads, and neatly finished pillion footpeg blanks. For riders who wish to restore two-up capability, the pillion footpegs are supplied with the motorcycle.

An exclusive British racing-inspired colour scheme completes the look. The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition combines Competition Green and Aluminium Silver paintwork, complemented by Aluminium Silver wheels and a colour-matched Competition Green headlight bowl. Empire Gold coachlining and graphics add a premium, handcrafted finish and underline the model’s exclusivity.

Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The latest Speed Twin 1200 has already struck a chord with riders across Europe and the US who value performance, style and everyday usability. Building on that success, the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition will sit at the top of the Speed Twin range, taking inspiration from the British cafe racer scene of the 1960s. With a global production of just 800 motorcycles, the Cafe Racer Edition will appeal to collectors and regular riders alike, offering more distinction and exclusivity, as well as combining heritage influence with premium specification and engaging performance.”

Underneath its classic styling, the Cafe Racer Edition delivers sharp, modern performance. Fully adjustable Marzocchi front forks and Öhlins rear suspension provide precise handling, while braking is handled by twin Brembo Stylema calipers working with 320 mm discs. Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres come fitted as standard for confident grip and control.

Power is supplied by Triumph’s high-compression Bonneville 1200 twin engine, producing 105 PS at 7,750 rpm and 112 Nm of torque. The 270-degree firing order and low-inertia crankshaft ensure responsive throttle control and strong torque across the rev range.

Modern rider technology includes Road, Rain, and Sport riding modes, optimised cornering ABS and traction control, and Triumph Shift Assist. A combined LCD and TFT display housed in a traditional round dial provides navigation, phone connectivity, and access to ride information, while a discreetly integrated USB-C charging socket adds everyday practicality.

The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition will arrive in dealerships from March 2026, with availability varying by market.
