Sachsenring, Germany — July 12, 2025 – Aprilia Racing celebrated another stellar performance as Marco Bezzecchi claimed his third consecutive MotoGP podium with a second-place finish in the Sachsenring Sprint Race. The Italian rider showcased control and composure in wet conditions, extending a strong run of form in the 2025 season.

After a standout qualifying session in heavy rain, Bezzecchi earned his first front-row start with Aprilia, lining up third on the grid. From the moment the lights went out, Bezzecchi seized the lead at Turn 1, maintaining it with consistency and determination for most of the race. He only surrendered the lead on the final lap but crossed the line in second, marking another impressive finish following previous podiums in Assen and earlier sprint races.

“I’m happy! It was a great race… I had to push to the limit in order to keep [Márquez] from catching me… I managed to adapt well,” said Marco Bezzecchi.

While Bezzecchi starred in the sprint, teammate Lorenzo Savadori continued with development duties aboard the RS-GP25, finishing 18th. Despite challenging conditions, the team remains optimistic about the bike’s evolving performance.

“Congratulations to Marco! He had outstanding qualifiers and rode a great race… You must always look for something more to improve,” commented Lorenzo Savadori.

Aprilia Racing’s Technical Director, Fabiano Sterlacchini, acknowledged the strategic value of qualifying and the team’s preparation in wet conditions.

“Starting out front is fundamental in the wet… Marco did extremely well throughout the race. Unfortunately, we struggle a bit in a split and that kept us from taking home the win,” he noted.

With consistent performance and ongoing development, Aprilia Racing is cementing its status as a serious contender in the 2025 MotoGP championship. Bezzecchi’s rise, paired with continued technical progress, signals promising momentum heading into the second half of the season.
