Ducati Lenovo Team’s Marc Márquez leads the pack during the Brno MotoGP Sprint, claiming his 11th Saturday win of the season.

Brno, CzechiaMarc Márquez delivered yet another Sprint masterclass, taking his 11th Saturday win of the season aboard the Ducati Lenovo Team’s Desmosedici GP at the Automotodrom Brno. The ten-lap Sprint was packed with strategy and drama, as Francesco Bagnaia finished seventh following a miscommunication over tyre pressure.

Starting from second on the grid, Márquez immediately surged into the lead. Mid-race, he allowed Pedro Acosta to pass due to front tyre pressure concerns but stayed close behind to manage the situation. With two laps remaining, Márquez capitalized on stabilizing conditions and retook the lead for a commanding victory.

“Our front tyre pressure was slightly low, which is why I let Acosta through… I knew I had the pace to stick with him,” explained Marc Márquez (#93).
“During the penultimate lap I saw that the pressure was within a safe range again, so I started pushing.”

Bagnaia, who began from pole, also launched well but lost positions midway through the race. Team signals prompted him to ease off due to what was later revealed to be an erroneous tyre pressure reading.

“In the end, the front-tyre pressure was actually correct, so I shouldn’t have let the others through,” said Francesco Bagnaia (#63).
“It’s a pity, because we were doing well and my riding was much more effective today, especially under braking.”

Despite the setback, Bagnaia remains in strong form as the Ducati Lenovo Team now shifts focus to Sunday’s 21-lap Grand Prix, with warm-up scheduled at 9:40 AM (GMT+2) and lights out at 14:00 local time.
