Hinckley, UK – Triumph Motorcycles has announced a major update to its class-leading TF 250-X motocross bike, reinforcing its competitive edge in the 250cc category for 2026. The latest iteration delivers upgraded performance, refined rider control, and race-developed enhancements aimed at riders seeking podium-ready precision right out of the crate.

Among the most significant changes is the integration of an all-new airbox and silencer, designed to maximize airflow and comply with updated FIM and AMA noise regulations. This, combined with enhanced ECU engine mapping, results in a sharper throttle response and more explosive power delivery across the rev range.

“These updates will help all riders to make the most of the available torque, improving the feel, acceleration and response, so it is even more competitive,” said Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer at Triumph.

The 2026 TF 250-X features a newly engineered high-performance Exedy clutch, offering increased torque capacity and improved durability under extreme race conditions. Suspension settings have also been revised to enhance mid-stroke control, cornering stability, and chassis balance, ensuring better handling in aggressive race scenarios.

For added convenience and reliability, Triumph has redesigned the battery tray layout and oil level sight glass, optimizing maintenance and visual checks. The update is capped off with a striking new Triumph Performance Yellow graphics scheme with in-mould decals for a factory-fresh aesthetic.

With a 48 PS single-cylinder engine at 13,500 rpm and lightweight aluminum spine frame, the TF 250-X continues to boast the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio. Developed with input from motocross icon Ricky Carmichael and Enduro champion Iván Cervantes, the TF 250-X is equipped with KYB AOS forks, a race-tuned rear shock, and a Brembo braking system.

Riders can unlock even more potential with Triumph’s MX Tune Pro app, offering live diagnostics, engine mapping, and sensor data via a dedicated Wi-Fi module. Factory-fit options also include a quickshifter, traction control, and launch assist systems.

To further elevate race performance, Triumph has released a dedicated line of competition accessories, including:

  • Akrapovič titanium exhaust
  • XTrig hole shot device
  • Athena launch control module
  • Performance seat and MX bodywork kit

The TF 250-X 2026 is positioned as the most complete and technologically advanced production motocross bike in its class—ready to dominate tracks worldwide.
