The 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally has been officially introduced as a limited-production model designed to deliver top-tier off-road performance. Built with direct input from rally racing technology, this new release pushes the boundaries of what a mid-capacity adventure motorcycle can achieve.
Positioned as the most performance-focused model in its category, the bike combines race-proven engineering with advanced rider-focused features. The development draws heavily from Dakar-winning machines, translating competition experience into a production-ready platform.
A key highlight of the 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally is its high-end suspension system. The model is equipped with WP XPLOR PRO components, including a lightweight fork with Cone Valve technology and a rear shock absorber designed for extreme terrain. Together, they deliver 270 mm of suspension travel, ensuring excellent damping performance, stability, and control even in the most demanding off-road conditions.
Despite its aggressive off-road setup, the motorcycle maintains a balanced level of comfort. The chassis and suspension are tuned to provide stability at high speeds while also supporting long-distance travel, including scenarios with added luggage or a passenger.
Powering the bike is an 889 cc parallel twin engine that produces 106 PS and 100 Nm of torque. This engine setup offers a strong balance between performance and reliability, making it suitable for both challenging trails and extended adventure rides.
The electronic package enhances overall riding capability. Features include Offroad ABS, multiple riding modes such as Rally Mode, traction control, and Motor Slip Regulation. These systems allow real-time adjustments through a 5-inch TFT display, which also supports connectivity functions and navigation features.
In terms of design, the 2026 model features a rally-inspired appearance influenced by KTM’s factory racing machines. The inclusion of an Akrapovič Slip-on Line exhaust and distinctive styling elements reinforces its competition-ready identity.
Additional components such as heavy-duty wheels, carbon tank guards, and a Supersprox-Stealth rear sprocket further contribute to durability and performance. The model also comes with a premium manufacturer’s warranty of up to four years, provided that servicing is carried out according to official guidelines.
Production is scheduled to begin in March at KTM’s Austrian facility. The release further strengthens the brand’s position in the high-performance adventure motorcycle segment.
