Triumph Expands Supersport Support with New US Engine Builders and MotoAmerica Contingency Program

In a major boost to its motorsport ambitions, Triumph Racing has officially named Boulder Motor Sports and Yoshimura R&D of America as approved Supersport engine builders for U.S.-based racers. This strategic expansion enables riders to access Triumph’s high-performance 765cc triple engine kits, modified to meet Supersport Next Generation and FIM technical standards.

The move broadens the factory support framework in the U.S. and aligns with Triumph’s increasing dominance in the global Supersport scene. These two American powerhouses join an esteemed lineup of engine builders that already includes PHR Performance and FW Developments in the UK, and Hertrampf Racing in Europe.

As enthusiasm for Triumph’s 765cc triple engine continues to surge across national and international race series, this development offers racers unprecedented flexibility and factory-backed performance options.

“Adding Yoshimura and Boulder Motor Sports to our Supersport race engine program strengthens our global network and gives US customers a local engine building option. They are two of the best known racing engine builders in the US, with a long history of success,” said Ian Kimber, Head of Global Racing Programs at Triumph Motorcycles.

Additionally, Triumph Racing has expanded its Contingency Program to include both the Supersport and Super Hooligan classes in the MotoAmerica championship. Racers competing on Triumph motorcycles in these classes can now earn part of the $100,000+ contingency purse available throughout the remainder of the 2024 season.

Kimber adds, “That said, all racing customers are still free to have the engine builder of their choice build their engine, regardless of location. I’d like to welcome Yoshimura and Boulder Motor Sports to the Triumph Racing family, and truly believe that along with PHR Performance and FW Developments and Hertrampf Racing, we have a team of engine builders who can give our customers a great engine to complement their racing Street Triple.”

With this expansion, Triumph reinforces its position as a key player in competitive racing, offering robust support for riders eager to harness the same engine platform used in the Moto2™ World Championship.
