Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that its NMAX 125 Tech MAX scooter has won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025, one of the most respected international design awards. This marks the 14th year in a row—every year since 2012—that a Yamaha product has received this honor.
The award-winning scooter is based on the popular NMAX model, first launched in 2015. It continues the legacy of Yamaha’s MAX Series, well-known in Europe and Japan for their sporty design and fun riding experience. The 2025 version was built with a strong focus on comfort, control, and compact size—designed to feel like a natural extension of the rider’s body.
The NMAX is considered the most user-friendly scooter in the MAX lineup. For this new version, Yamaha introduced a concept called “Condensed Elements,” aiming to improve both style and functionality. Updates include smaller LED lights at the front and back, a modern TFT display, and a more compact overall shape. The NMAX 125 Tech MAX, a premium edition, comes with a high-quality seat and exclusive color options that set it apart from the standard model.
The Red Dot Design Awards, organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany, are recognized globally as one of the top honors in product design.
