Montmeló, Spain – The Aprilia Racing RSV4 X-GP made a spectacular debut during the Catalan Grand Prix, marking ten years since the RS-GP’s entry into MotoGP. This ultra-exclusive machine, limited to just 30 units worldwide, embodies Aprilia’s most advanced technology, directly derived from MotoGP racing.
The RSV4 X-GP continues the tradition of Aprilia’s elite “X” line, where the “X” symbolizes the Roman numeral for 10. Designed to showcase the highest levels of performance, aerodynamics, and craftsmanship, the motorcycle pushes the boundaries of production-based engineering.

Aerodynamics Inspired by MotoGP
A defining feature of the RSV4 X-GP is its aerodynamic package, directly inherited from the RS-GP25 prototype. For the first time on a production-based motorcycle, it features leg wings and tail wings, innovations developed and patented by Aprilia Racing. These elements generate exceptional downforce during braking and cornering.
The aero kit also includes a redesigned front wing, under wing, and cornering wings. The fairing, entirely crafted from carbon fiber by PAN Compositi using MotoGP techniques, boosts stability and precision by multiplying vertical load fivefold on straights and tripling it in corners, reducing wheelies and enhancing grip.
Structure and Materials
Straight from the racetrack, the RSV4 X-GP introduces a structural carbon-fiber seat support, integrating aerodynamic, structural, and design functions. This innovation, combined with a sandwich carbon layup technique, maximizes lightness and rigidity, offering riders improved rear-tyre feedback and greater control.
Exclusive Features and Livery
The bike features a twin-outlet SC Project exhaust in full MotoGP style, delivering maximum performance and a pure racing soundtrack. Its special RS-GP25-inspired livery is a tribute to Aprilia Racing’s ongoing evolution in MotoGP.
Engine Performance
At its heart lies a 65° V4, 1,099 cc engine producing 238 hp at 13,750 rpm and 131 Nm of torque at 11,750 rpm, revving up to 14,100 rpm. These figures are achieved through dedicated tuning, including a higher compression ratio, Sprint Filter racing air filter, custom intake trumpets, titanium SC Project exhaust system, and an STM dry clutch.
Advanced Electronics
The RSV4 X-GP is equipped with Aprilia’s APX ECU, a cutting-edge system also used in competition. Riders benefit from customizable strategies for traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, and power delivery. The ECU also integrates a GPS module and complete data acquisition for performance analysis. Each bike comes with a Yashi laptop preloaded with Aprilia’s management software, enabling fine-tuning of the ECU to suit track conditions.
