KTM has just launched one of the most exclusive rally bikes ever built: the Daniel Sanders Edition 450 Rally Replica. With a price tag of €62,900 (approximately £58,840 excluding VAT and shipping), this hyper-limited motorcycle is a tribute to the 2025 Dakar Rally champion, Daniel Sanders.
Only Five Units Worldwide
Only five of these special edition machines will be produced globally, making it a true collector’s item. One of the units has already been put through its paces by Sanders himself during the Erzberg Rodeo prologue, showcasing its competitive edge.
Built on a Legendary Dakar Platform
The Daniel Sanders Edition is based on KTM’s winningest Dakar platform and elevates it with factory-level components. From the full Red Bull KTM Factory Racing livery to a signed front number board and a limited-edition chassis badge (numbered 001–005), every element screams exclusivity.
Premium Components and Custom Detailing
The upgrades don’t stop at aesthetics. This rally machine includes a laser-engraved titanium Akrapovič exhaust, Sanders-branded fuel caps, carbon fiber chain sliders, factory-painted handguards, high-performance brake discs, and a Hinson factory-spec clutch cover. Michelin Desert Race tyres wrap around a premium factory wheelset.
Three integrated fuel tanks offer a massive 34.5L capacity—two at the front and one rear-mounted tank that doubles as the bike’s subframe. A practical carbon sump guard includes extra storage space.
Factory Race Feel and Unique Owner Perks
Customers will receive an additional wheelset fitted with street-legal tyres and a spare windscreen customized with their name and chosen race number. A custom Selle Dalla Valle seat, titanium footpegs, dual-height tank pads, and a signed race jersey by Sanders himself complete the elite package.
Powering the bike is KTM’s reliable 449.3cc fuel-injected SOHC engine, shared with the EXC-F and SX-F range. Recent updates include a reinforced clutch, stronger gearbox, and dual-radiator cooling system.
Handcrafted Chassis for Ultimate Performance
Unlike standard off-road frames, this edition boasts a hand-welded trellis frame made from hydro-formed, laser-cut steel sections, paired with a die-cast aluminum swingarm. This setup, coupled with a race-tuned suspension linkage, delivers pro-level handling.
Each bike will be personally delivered by Daniel Sanders himself during the 2025 KTM Europe Adventure Rally in Romania (August 25–29). Buyers also gain access to a dedicated factory mechanic, support truck, and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride alongside the reigning Dakar champion.
