ROKiT BMW rider Toprak Razgatlioglu celebrates on the Donington Park podium after sweeping all three races and taking the WorldSBK championship lead.

Donington Park, UK — July 13, 2025Toprak Razgatlioglu delivered a flawless performance at Round 7 of the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship, claiming victory in all three races at Donington Park and taking the overall championship lead. Riding the BMW M 1000 RR for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, Razgatlioglu’s weekend sweep included pole position, a Superpole Race win, and two full-race victories—an achievement that also marked BMW’s 100th podium in WorldSBK.

“I’m very happy because before I came here, my biggest target was the hat-trick… now I have 12 wins here, so I broke the record,” said Toprak Razgatlioglu.
“It’s of course also good to now be in the championship lead, but I’m not focused on that, I just focus from race to race and on winning them.”

Nicknamed “El Turco,” Razgatlioglu now holds a four-point lead over Nicolò Bulega (Ducati) with five rounds remaining. His 12th win at Donington sets a new record at the historic British track, cementing his reputation as one of the most dominant riders on the grid.

BMW Motorrad Motorsport’s Sven Blusch, Head of the division, praised the entire team’s resilience and development since the season opener.

“It was an incredible weekend for us, putting us back in the lead of the world championship… Toprak did an unbelievable job. He’s back in his flow, and you can feel his mental strength. Nothing can shake him.”

The weekend brought mixed fortunes for Michael van der Mark, who finished 13th in Race 1 but was forced to retire from both Sunday races following an incident in FP3 caused by another rider’s engine failure.

Christian Gonschor, Technical Director, explained the team’s rapid adjustment to the warmer-than-usual conditions.

“From FP3 onward, the bike was in an ideal operating window… Toprak’s outstanding Superpole lap and race performances confirmed this.”

As the championship heads to the brand-new Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary (July 25–27), both BMW riders are expected to be competitive on the fresh layout, with the team confident in their adaptability and setup efficiency.
