Magny-Cours, France – September 7, 2025 — The roar of the BMW M 1000 RR echoed across Magny-Cours as Toprak Razgatlioglu extended his dominance in the FIM Superbike World Championship with a record-breaking weekend. The Turkish rider clinched pole position, swept all three races, and delivered BMW’s landmark 50th WorldSBK victory, cementing his status as the clear championship leader.
Razgatlioglu, known to fans as “El Turco,” was unstoppable throughout the ninth round of the season. With his latest hat-trick, he stretched his lead in the riders’ standings to 39 points, adding to his incredible tally of 18 wins this season — including twelve consecutive victories.
Meanwhile, teammate Michael van der Mark showcased resilience and determination after a crash in Saturday’s opening race. The Dutch rider bounced back on Sunday, battling fiercely against WorldSBK legends Jonathan Rea and Álvaro Bautista to secure back-to-back fifth-place finishes, strengthening BMW’s charge in the manufacturers’ championship. Thanks to both riders’ performances, BMW slashed Ducati’s advantage to just three points.
Looking ahead, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team is brimming with confidence as the championship moves to MotorLand Aragón, Spain (September 26–28) for Round 10.
Sven Blusch, Head of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, praised the team’s results:
“It was a perfect start into the final stretch of the season for us. That Toprak has claimed his 12th consecutive victory is indescribable. He didn’t make a single mistake, stayed very focused, and is currently playing in a league of his own. I’m especially delighted for Mickey as well. Despite Saturday’s crash, his thrilling battles and two top-five finishes showed the potential we’ve always believed in.”
Blusch also expressed gratitude to the team’s relentless efforts:
“A big thank you goes to the team and all the staff back home who worked hard even during the summer break and prepared for this perfect weekend. Now we are looking forward to Aragón. We had a good test there and are ready for the race weekend.”
With three rounds left, Razgatlioglu and BMW Motorrad Motorsport are on course for a historic finish, leaving fans eager to see if the unstoppable streak continues in Spain.
