Sachsenring, Germany – July 13, 2025 – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Brad Binder delivered a gritty performance at the 2025 German Grand Prix, claiming seventh place after a chaotic 30-lap race at a sun-soaked but unpredictable Sachsenring. With over 98,000 fans in attendance, Round 11 of the MotoGP season tested riders with demanding conditions and a rapidly evolving race environment.

Binder, fresh from achieving his best Sprint result of the year on Saturday, kept KTM in contention following a turbulent day for the team. After a competitive start, the South African engaged in a fierce battle within the top ten, eventually crossing the line just 0.090 seconds from sixth place despite grappling with tire pressure issues.

“From a working point of view and the weekend as a whole this was definitely a step… It was chaos out there and very tricky for the front end… it was an accomplishment to get to the line,” said Brad Binder.

Red Bull KTM’s challenges began early when Pedro Acosta, starting from fifth, suffered a crash at Turn 2 in the opening laps and was forced to retire. Meanwhile, the Tech3 satellite squad was left without representation after Maverick Viñales was ruled out with a fractured shoulder sustained during Saturday’s Sprint and Enea Bastianini missed the round due to surgery for appendicitis.

Despite these setbacks, the KTM program still earned success in the junior categories. In Moto3, Jose Antonio Rueda claimed third and extended his podium tally to eight for the season, while in Moto2, Deniz Öncü stormed to his second win of 2025 with Red Bull KTM Ajo.

The Sachsenring’s tight, technical nature and shifting track conditions kept teams on edge. After a wet Saturday, Sunday brought drier skies but lingering humidity and the constant threat of showers.

With Binder now 12th in the overall standings, KTM looks ahead to Round 12 in Brno, Czech Republic, a venue that holds historic value for the team—the site of their first-ever MotoGP win in 2020, achieved by Binder himself.
